Katherine A. Stamatakis, Ph.D., M.P.H., is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice, with a background in chronic disease epidemiology, implementation science, and public health systems research. Dr. Stamatakis has led a number of funded research projects aimed at improving understanding of the unequal distribution of health promotion resources and identifying systems and structures that could be better leveraged to promote health and equity. Her work is driven by the belief that to achieve long-term progress in chronic disease prevention and health equity there must be sustainable structures in communities and robust interactions between practice and research settings.
