Dr. Woodard is a tenured professor and Associate Dean for Community Engagement at Baylor College of Medicine. A general internist, researcher, and educator, she leads initiatives to strengthen community partnerships, promote health equity, and train interprofessional healthcare teams. Her research focuses on medically underserved populations, quality of care for patients with chronic medical conditions, and the socioeconomic factors influencing health outcomes. She continues to provide clinical care in safety-net facilities and mentor the next generation of healthcare leaders. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Woodard is a mother of two children: Jack Solari, a college sophomore, and Catherine Solari, a high school junior.
