Logan Sheets joined AcademyHealth in June 2019 as a Research Assistant supporting the Evidence-Informed State Health Policy Institute. In this role, Logan supports various projects, primarily focusing on AcademyHealth’s State-University Partnership Learning Network (SUPLN) by providing content and administrative support to the SUPLN work and other state-related projects. Prior to joining AcademyHealth, Logan worked as a summer intern at Strategic Health Care, a healthcare consulting firm in Washington, D.C., where he focused primarily on federal healthcare legislation and its impact on the firm’s clients. In addition, he served as a public health intern for the Ohio Department of Health, where he supported the Office of Health Preparedness in disaster and emergency response. Logan has a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, specialization in Health Policy, from The Ohio State University.
The Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) recently awarded two Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award COVID-19 Enhancements to AcademyHealth’s Evidence-Informed State Health Policy Institute to explore how Medicaid can examine the impact on beneficiaries and the program.
The Medicaid Outcomes Distributed Research Network (MODRN) supports evidence-based state health policy and practice with a focus on transforming Medicaid-based health care, including improving the patient experience with care, improving the health of populations, and reducing the per capita cost of health care.
