Mariah Seater is a lifelong resident of Anchorage, Alaska, of a multicultural background, and lived experience researcher with a strong background in Arctic mental health focusing on equitable health care access and culturally responsive programs and services. She is currently a Doctor of Public Health Candidate at Tulane University, focusing on climate justice and maternal health. Mariah holds an MSc in Educational Psychology, an MPH from the University of Alaska Anchorage, and Graduate Certificates in Children's Mental Health and Legal Epidemiology. She also serves as a Special Assistant to the Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Family and Community Services and is a Board Member of the Alaska Public Health Association. Additionally, she is a Fulbright Arctic Initiative Scholar (Cohort IV) and was selected as an Emerging Leader of Color Fellow with the National Academy of State Health Policy (NASHP).
