He obtained his PhD from McMaster University in the Health Research Methodology Program, holds a BHSc from McMaster and studied political science at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on supporting the use of research evidence by health system decision-makers, including policymakers and stakeholders such as community-based organizations. This includes conducting syntheses (e.g., rapid syntheses, citizen briefs and evidence briefs) that can be used by health system decision-makers to address pressing health system issues, convening citizen panels to identify citizens’ values and preferences for addressing health-system issues and stakeholder dialogues to support collective problem solving among policymakers, stakeholders and researchers.
