Sara Love Rawlings, Managing Partner and Founder, provides strategic consulting and public policy counsel to her clients on a range of health care, budget and appropriations issues. She has successfully represented a number of corporations, serving as an advocate for their interests with Congress and federal agencies.  Rawlings has a broad range of experience in crafting and analyzing appropriations and health care policy issues and has particular experience with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Defense Health Agency (DHA).
 
Prior to SL Strategies, Ms. Rawlings was a Senior Policy Advisor with Baker Donelson, where she represented multiple corporations, coalitions and trade associations on health care, budget and appropriations matters.
 
Ms. Rawlings was a Professional Staff Member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education, where she managed over $30 billion in annual federal spending including BARDA, CDC, and CMS. She also served as a health fellow for Senator Thad Cochran, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations.
 
Before her time in Washington, Ms. Rawlings spent four years working in biological research at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center's Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Green Center for Reproductive Biological Sciences.
 
Ms. Rawlings holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Biology and English from Southern Methodist University and a Law Degree from the University of Mississippi.
