Sarah S. Giordano, BSN, RN, AHN-BC is a PhD student in nursing and board-certified holistic nurse with nearly two decades of clinical and leadership experience in emergency medicine, global health, wellness, and digital innovation. She has worked in diverse care settings from Manhattan emergency care to primary care in rural Kenya and Native American territories to telemedicine innovation in Dubai bringing a systems-level understanding to workforce, access, and equity challenges. Her scholarship focuses on home-based primary care, refugee health, and nurse workforce development. With growing expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods as well as human-centered design, she is passionate about amplifying nursing’s voice in interdisciplinary health services research. Sarah is an active member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, the Emergency Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, Eastern Nursing Research Society and AcademyHealth.
