Ying (Elaine) Wang, PhD, is a health policy and health services researcher with about 20 years of analytics and mixed-methods research and evaluation experience. She currently is Senior Director for Research and Evaluation at Commonwealth Medicine of University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS). Her primary area of expertise is value-based care for Medicare Parts C and D plans, qualified health plans, and inpatient acute-care hospitals. She also has significant experiences with technical support and evaluation of national- or state-level Medicaid 1115 waiver demonstrations such as Premium Assistance, Community/Work Requirements, and Dual-eligible programs. Her other areas of interests are for people with disabilities, behavioral health, Alzheimer disease, and more. Prior to joining UMMS, Wang held leadership roles at American Institutes for Research and IMPAQ International. Dr. Wang holds a doctorate degree in public policy from University of Maryland Baltimore County.
