Dr. Yejin Kim is an assistant professor in the School of Biomedical Informatics (SBMI) at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Dr. Kim earned her Ph.D. from the Data Intelligence Lab at the Pohang University of Science and Technology. Dr. Kim’s primary research interest is on machine learning for healthcare problems, such as computational phenotyping, clinical sequential decision-making, and discovering key predictors of disease or treatment failure. She published prestigious computer science conference papers including KDD, CIKM, and IJCAI and journals including Scientific Reports and PLoS one.
