Rebecca Gourevitch, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of Maryland, College Park. She uses quantitative methods to study policies that impact access to affordable, high-quality health care in the United States. Her work focuses on maternal and child health, particularly the quality of prenatal care and the role of the health care and social safety nets in improving outcomes. She also studies out-of-pocket costs for perinatal care and how price and quality information influences patients’ choices. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Policy from Harvard University and a M.S. in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
