Angelica Parente, Ph.D., is a biophysicist and rare disease patient whose primary focus is the translation of new technologies that expand our capabilities to understand and engineer biology to meaningfully improve patient’s lives. She currently serves as a computational chemist at Nurix Therapeutics and Scientist-in-Residence at Civilization Ventures. Her experience both as a translational scientist and patient drive her advocacy efforts as a volunteer for The Light Collective and a Stanford MedicineX ePatient Scholar, where she is eager to merge scientific research, entrepreneurship, and non-traditional collaborations to increase patient agency and quality of life.
