This webinar introduced the Managing Urinary Incontinence initiative as the newest addition to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) EvidenceNOW initiative. This 90-minute webinar will provide an overview of the initiative and its five grantee projects working to help primary care practices implement patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) on effective nonsurgical interventions for urinary incontinence (UI) in women. The session were framed by patient and provider perspectives on the importance and potential impact of this initiative.
The EvidenceNOW Model is AHRQ’s approach for providing support to primary care practices to build capacity for quality improvement, implement new evidence into care delivery, and ultimately improve healthcare quality. With MUI, AHRQ aims to close the gap between evidence and primary care practice in care for UI in women.
