Tracie Howard joined AcademyHealth in September 1999. As a Meetings Manager in the Educational Conferences and Programs department, Tracie manages all aspects of the Annual Research Meeting (ARM) exhibit/sponsorship program, oversees the abstracts processes, and manages all adjunct meetings. She also works closely with other team members on the National Health Policy Conference, Health Policy Orientation, and Health Policy Study Tours.
Tracie gained meeting/event-planning experience before coming to AcademyHealth by interning for the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Art and Culture (MACAC) and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). At MACAC, she assisted the Director of Development with promotions, sponsorships, and administrative work for Baltimore's once a year free festival - ARTSCAPE (a festival that draws in more than 1 million people over a three-day period). In her role at MDNR, Tracie worked in the tributary strategies department where she handled all aspects of planning and implementing a Watershed Kick-Off Event for the Herring Bay Watershed. Also, she represented MDNR at various events throughout Maryland.
In May 1999, Tracie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland, where she received her B.S. degree in Business Administration, Marketing.
