Amanda E. Borsky, Dr.Ph., M.P.P. is a health services researcher with nearly 20 years of experience sponsoring, leading, managing, and conducting research in the Federal government and non-profit research organizations. In 2022, she joined the Department of Veterans Affairs, Health Services Research and Development as a Scientific Program Manager, where she oversees the research portfolios and projects for women’s health and health systems research. She serves as the Scientific Review Officer for the HSR5 panel on Health Care System Organization and Delivery and Women’s Health, and the Contractor Officer’s Representative for all HSR&D contracts.
Prior to joining HSR&D, Amanda was the Program Manager for the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) Division at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. As Program Manager, she managed the day-to-day activities that supported the functioning of the USPSTF, oversaw the systematic evidence review contracts, facilitated publication and dissemination of the USPSTF recommendations, engaged stakeholders, and provided scientific and logistical oversight to the Division's intramural and extramural research collaborations. Prior to joining AHRQ in 2016, Amanda spent nearly a decade as a research scientist at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), and CNA. Her research focused on a variety of health issues, in particular preventive health, health behavior, intimate partner violence prevention, military health, healthcare delivery systems, and dissemination and implementation. Amanda received her DrPH in Public Health, Health Behavior, and MPP in Health Policy, from the George Washington University. She received her BA in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
