Amy Bugwadia is an M.S. candidate in Community Health and Prevention Research at Stanford University School of Medicine. She attended UCLA as an undergraduate, studying Political Science and Disability Studies. As a chronic illness patient and advocate, Amy is passionate about pursuing health equity by centering patient and community voices in health policy and clinical care. She is currently a Graduate Intern at Stanford Presence 5, identifying best practices to foster humanism in patient-clinician interactions. Amy's thesis work focuses on assessing the impact of culture, race, and ethnicity on the experiences of Asian Americans living with inflammatory bowel disease.
Amy is a recipient of a 2021 AcademyHealth Alice S. Hersh Student Scholarship for the Annual Research Meeting.
