Daniel Kurowski is a social science research analyst and data scientist at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics. He leads several Medicare transparency and public reporting programs in the areas of post-acute care, hospice, and the Affordable Care Act’s health insurance exchanges. Additionally, Mr. Kurowski helps manage the Chronic Conditions Warehouse Medicare fee-for-service claims data as well as the post-acute care quality assessment data.

Prior to his federal service, Mr. Kurowski worked at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York and at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children where he conducted program evaluation and clinical research. He co-authored several papers on care quality and healthcare access for pediatric populations.

Mr. Kurowski holds a Master of Public Health in health policy from the Boston University School of Public Health and is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego where he holds degrees in human biology and history.
