Dori Cross, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Policy and Management at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.  She is a mixed methods health services researcher, with training in organizational studies, informatics, and implementation science. Dr. Cross's research seeks ways to leverage health information technology for improved health system functioning and decision-making at the point of care, with a particular focus on strengthening care coordination and care transitions. Her work focuses on developing feasible socio-technical solutions that address persistent variation in when and how information technology (IT) generates value for healthcare organizations, providers, and patients. She has a particular interest in developing methods to use clinical and audit log EHR data to support organizational learning and quality improvement. She received her PhD in Health Services Organization and Policy from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
