Emily Porter is a Partner at The Nickles Group.  She offers clients a unique perspective on health care and education issues through significant Hill experience.  Emily most recently served as Assistant to Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) for Policy where she was instrumental in managing and messaging key issues related to health care reform as well as Medicare and Medicaid policy.  She also built broad support for major education initiatives while Boehner served as chairman of the Education and Workforce Committee.

Through her work with Speaker Boehner, as well as time spent working for Trent Franks (R- Ariz.) and Tom Tancredo (R- Colo.), Emily has worked closely and developed strong relationships with House and Senate leadership, key committees as well as members of Congress and staff. She began her public policy career at the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C.
