Dr. Jason Brown earned a B.S. in Biology from San Diego State University. He then went on to complete his BSN, MSN, and doctoral degree in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania as a Hillman Scholar in Nursing Innovation.
His prior research experience includes working for 7 years as molecular biology research assistant at the Naval Health Research Center. Jason’s doctoral research focused on non-urgent emergency department utilization and uncomplicated urinary tract infection site of care choice.
His research interests include patient and provider decision support, behavioral economics, data science, clinical informatics, and healthcare disparities.
Dr. Brown is a 2019 Academy Health Delivery System Science Fellow. His host site is the MedStar Health Research Institute.
