Jennifer N. Cooper, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology at The Ohio State University and a Principal Investigator in the Center for Innovation in Pediatric Practice and Center for Surgical Outcomes Research at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She is an epidemiologist and biostatistician whose research involves the use of large clinical and administrative databases, the design and analysis of clinical trials and prospective observational studies, and the development of novel methods in statistics and data science. She studies healthcare access and outcomes in children and young adults with surgical diseases and injuries and works to design multi-level interventions to reduce disparities in healthcare access and outcomes in this population. She currently serves as a primary investigator or co-investigator on several NIH and PCORI-funded projects in these areas.
