Dr. Ye is a clinician health services researcher with extensive training in applied economics focusing on aging-related topics. She has applied her training to conduct economic evaluation of health interventions using quasi-experimental design, policy analysis related to the quality of care for older adults, health equity research through addressing social determinants of health factors. She worked as a Prevention Effectiveness Fellow in Health Economics from 2019-2021 within the Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
She received her PhD in health services research and policy analysis from the University of Rochester. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine in nursing science from Shandong University. She practiced as a registered nurse in China before coming to the United States.
Dr. Zhiqiu Ye is a 2021 AcademyHealth Delivery System Science Fellow. Her host site is the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science and Innovation at the University of Chicago Medicine.
