Effectively moving evidence into policy and practice at the federal level requires a fundamental understanding of the people and processes at play. Join us in Washington, D.C. this fall for an in-depth lesson in how to get your message across to policy leaders, the role of the executive, judicial, and legislative branches, and the advocates and advisors shaping the process, as well as tips on how to evaluate the current policy landscape both nationally and at the state level.

The past few years have emphasized the critical role of politics and policymaking in shaping our nation's health and responding to global public health crises. This course is perfectly timed to give you the knowledge you need to make an impact.

Health Policy Orientation will include presentations by well-known experts, interactive panels, and group discussions. Attendees will receive an in-depth overview of health policymaking and acquire practical skills to navigate bureaucratic red tape and achieve their health policy objectives.

With a small meeting format limited to 50 participants, the event encourages collaboration, interaction, and networking among attendees and esteemed faculty.

This will be an exciting time to be in D.C. with the 2024 presidential elections happening in November, and important conversations about policy and change will be abundant. Join us!
