Melanie Egorin has 20 years of health policy experience. Dr. Egorin serves as Democratic Deputy Staff Director, Subcommittee on Health, Committee on Ways and Means in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is staff lead for Affordable Care Act, Medicare Advantage, dual-eligible beneficiaries, women’s health, and health tax issues.
Prior to joining Ways and Means, Dr. Egorin worked for the U.S. Government Accountability Office and the University of California Office of the President. She taught at San Francisco State University. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Emory University and a Ph.D. from the University of California San Francisco.
