This webinar will be a research abstract presentation panel, providing a forum for child health services researchers to share their work with peers.
The Child Health Services Research Interest Group (CHSR IG) envisions a future where all children and their communities are made healthier by the use of evidence in decision-making. In support of this vision, the CHSR IG advocates for the production and use of high-quality evidence to promote the health of all children in health care and other settings and to build a strong foundation for health over the life course. To this end, the IG has the following goals: (1) support researchers across the course of their careers, (2) grow a community of passionate researchers, (3) promote evidence-based advocacy for optimal child health, and (4) provide opportunities to disseminate results in popular and traditional areas of research. This webinar supports these goals by highlighting the work of early career researchers, strengthening our CHSR community, and adding to the evidence base for child health services by providing a forum for child health services researchers to share their work with their peers.
This webinar will be a research abstract presentation panel. Submitted abstracts underwent blind peer review by a committee of volunteers. Selections were made based upon the importance of the topic for advancing child health services research, the appropriateness of techniques and methods, quality and originality, and implications for policy and practice. Preference was given to students and early career researchers. Four abstracts were selected and will be presented during the 90-minute webinar, with an opportunity for attendees to pose questions to presenters. The titles of the selected abstracts are as follows:
