Dr. Chevalier is a full-time assistant professor with Nova Southeastern University Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences, a former director of a bachelor’s program in health services administration, and AAS program in Medical Assisting (AAMA), and an AAS program in Medical Administration. Dr. Chevalier also works as a consultant for issues related to safety, quality improvement, risk management, and project management and an advisor to PULSE of NY. Dr. Chevalier reviews books related to healthcare quality and safety and am on the editorial board for several journals. Prior significant work includes being responsible for implementing and directing Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement at the state level for all hospices, HCBS Medicaid Waiver program, and other long-term-care community programs in New York State.

Dr. Chevalier holds a Certification in Public Health (CPH), a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and is a certified as a professional coder (CPC). Dr. Chevalier is very active with many professional organizations (ASQ, NAHQ, APHA, NYSPHA, AAPC, others) and is a member of the local county Medical Reserve Corp and an active member of the NYSPHA legislative and advocacy committee.

Dr. Chevalier's academic preparation includes a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University; an MPH in Public Health Practice from UMASS Amherst; an MS degree in Educational Psychology and Statistics/Special Education from the State University of New York at Albany; and a BS degree in Special Education from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York.
