VA FORUM Fall 2017
A publication of the VA Office of Research & Development, Health Services Research & Development Service, Center for Information Dissemination and Education Resources, in conjunction with AcademyHealth.
This 2017 Summer issue of the VA Health Services Research & Development's (VA HSR&D) FORUM showcases the role of nurses in meeting the increasingly complex care requirements of the Veteran population. The issue includes a Commentary from VHA Chief Nursing Officer Linda McConnell, as well as articles on the critical role of nurses in implementing bundles to enhance care and improve patient outcomes, and the effectiveness of nurse-delivered interventions in managing chronic conditions.
VA HSR&D works to identify and evaluate innovative strategies that lead to accessible, high quality, cost-effective care for Veterans and the nation. In conjunction with AcademyHealth, it publishes FORUM on a quarterly basis to bring useful information derived from health services research to the attention of both VA clinicians and managers. FORUM also introduces questions, observations, comments and criticism raised by VA clinicians and managers to health services researchers.
