Annie Bauer is a Senior Research Associate on the Health Systems Improvement team at AcademyHealth. In her role, she primarily supports a HRSA grant project focused on enhancing systems of care for children with medical complexity. She also supports a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation project focused on health services research infrastructure and innovation. 

Prior to joining AcademyHealth, Annie was a Research Analyst at the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Agency Directors (NASADAD), formerly the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors, where she led the Women’s Services Network and Youth Coordinators, and provided support to the National Prevention Network, to address their technical assistance and research needs. Annie is experienced in conducting policy and programmatic research, as well as providing technical assistance through various modalities to diverse stakeholders, including state government and providers, to support the implementation of evidence-based practices to deliver quality care. She is passionate about improving health systems and promoting equity in access to care and health service delivery.

Annie holds a Master of Public Health from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University.
