Jason is a physical therapist health services researcher who researchers patient choices and access to physical therapy care for musculoskeletal conditions. His work involves understanding how patients make choices and access the care of physical therapists for musculoskeletal conditions and using that information to efficiently direct patients towards physical therapy. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA in 2014 and an Orthopaedic Residency at Drexel University in 2015. After completion of his residency, he worked in private practice outpatient orthopaedics for 1.5 years, during which time he became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. He continues to treat patients in a telehealth setting. Jason completed his PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Utah in the summer of 2020 under the direction of Dr. Julie Fritz and Dr. Anne Thackeray.

Dr. Jason Sharpe is a 2020 AcademyHealth Delivery System Science Fellow with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Durham.
