AcademyHealth programs are led by our expert staff, supported by funding from a variety of partners, and all aimed at improving health and the health system. An alphabetical list of both past and current activities is below. Analysis of Use of Non-Opioid Controlled Substances and Treatment of Non-Opioid Substances Use Disorders Among Medicaid Beneficiaries

With support from the Medicaid and CHIP Payment & Access Commission, AcademyHealth’s Evidence-Informed State Health Policy Institute, in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh, is exploring the use of non-opioid controlled substances and the treatment of non-opioid substance use disorders.

Analyzing Sexually Transmitted Disease Testing in Medicaid Populations

With support from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Foundation, AcademyHealth’s Evidence-Informed State Health Policy Institute in collaboration with the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill is assessing syphilis testing among pregnant Medicaid beneficiaries as well as rates of STI testing of state Medicaid beneficiaries on PrEP

Community Health Peer Learning Program

From June 2015 to July 2017, the Community Health Peer Learning (CHP) Program built community capacity to advance progress toward population health improvements through the expanded capture, sharing, and use of electronic health data from diverse sectors.
