Dr. Abdul Shaikh is the Global Leader for Population Health at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role he works with a multi-disciplinary team of solution architects, data scientists, and partner organizations to help customers harness structured and un-structured data on the determinants of health. Abdul’s professional activities include serving on the AWS Health Equity Initiative Review Committee, the Society of Behavioral Medicine’s Digital Health Council, and Co-Chairing the 2021 Academy Health National Advisory Group for DEI. Prior to AWS, Abdul was the Population Health Leader for PwC and Guidehouse, and served as a Program Director at the National Cancer Institute and ONC. In this latter role his service was recognized by the HHS Office of the Secretary for leading the first America COMPETES Act prize competitions for NIH and HHS.
